Yuck
I have a sore throat, and it sucks. I feel like I'm 5 years old and someone asks you whats wrong and you look at them with big puppy dog eyes and say 'My froat huuurts'. And yes, the f-roat is deliberate.
Confucious Says:
I have an addiction. I've said it. I love fortunes. I save fortunes from fortune cookies. I take them into work, and tape them to my computer screen. I bought an electronic fortune cookie that dispenses fortunes on a little screen, wrapped it up and gave it to my dad in his stocking a few years back, but I'm the only one who ever uses it when I go to his house.
I also have a fortune cookie eating ritual, I open the cookie, put the fortune on the table and don't read it until I'm done eating the cookie.
Here are the ones on my computer:
You are heading for a land of sunshine.
An enjoyable vacation is awaiting you.
You will soon get something special because of your charm.
Your talents will be recognized and rewarded.
Someone near you wants to tell you something. Listen.
People respond to your beautiful smile.
Ignorance never settles a question.

My day as Ally McBeal
So yesterday I went to Municipal Court to defend myself against a ticket I received for expired license tabs. The fine...101.00 (I'm not even going to go into how much difference that extra dollar makes). I looked pseudo-professional in charchol slacks, a pink shirt and black open-toed mules, which was in stark contrast to the roomful of baggy jeans, t-shirts, and people holding bibles (what the?).
I went forward when my name was called, made my case, and got my fine reduced from 101.00 to 60.00. Not too bad for my first day of court! :) Bottom line is, I did have expired tabs, the fine is 101.00, but I went there, made my case and thanks to my skills of persuasion (I think) I saved myself 41.00. God Bless America and the Judicial Branch.
On a seperate note. I found this website and I'm LOVING it! House Gymnastics

Last night I was driving home after the rain and there was the most gorgeous rainbow. It was the kind that really showed the deeper colors, especially the violet, which can sometimes be hard to distinguish. Just one of those perks of a spring rain.

So I nearly forgot. On the way back from the hike, we stopped off at a "museum". The museum boasted the 'World's 10 Deadliest Snakes and Albino Alligator'. You certainly can't pass something like that up...any sort of oddity like that always peaks my intrest, and I have to take a look.
We paid our 3.00 admission (what a bargain!) and proceeded to look at the 10 Deadliest Snakes, Albino Crocodile along with other scaly, reptilian things....including an Anaconda, huge bugs, giant toads...and I even held a snake...yuck.
I nearly came unglued when we rounded a corner and on the floor was a ceramic crocodile...i jumped about 2 feet in the air, I was not expecting that at all!

This weekend was a lot of fun. Elaine and I went to the move 13 Going On 30 this weekend, which was a definite chick flick, and adorable. Then we decided on Saturday that we were going to go hiking. We planned our route, got up to the mountain started to hike when we started to come across not a well manicured trail, but bruch...a thicket...overgrown jungle-type atmosphere...but we forged ahead because we were hiking to an alpine lake, Barclay Lake. Little did we know after all or scapes and bumps, that we weren't on the trail at all...that trail as right next to our "trail" and we missed it....the correct trail was manicured and such...and lead to a lake....we didnt get close to a lake, just bruch, a random waterfall, some wildflowers and some leftover snow.....what an adventure.

I'm kind of in a funk lately...and I dont mean the "Take me to Funky Town" kind.
Exhibit A:
I mean, I had a great date...the kind that makes you aware that someone awesome is actually sitting right across from you, chatting with you for hours on end...and then he doesnt call.
Exhibit B:
Or, that I'm actually considering coloring my hair brown so that people take me seriously.
Exhibit C:
I finally have the night off and all I can think of is "Will my Netflix arrive in time to watch tonight?"
Someone please make this funk go away!

Of course, all the tulips were hiding there! We took lots of pictures and had a blast!

Ok...so I have made a point never to eat at Jack in The Box...we didn't have them where I grew up. Well today I was near one, running late so decided to get some chicken strips....they asked me what kind of sauce I wanted and I said "barbeque" and she looked at me wierd, but gave me the bag....I get back to work, open it up....do I see chicken...NO, I see EGG ROLLS!!! My first JITB experience and I get the wrong order!!! Now there is customer service!...although I have to say I do kind of dig their blue straws.

My birthday, July 11th, will be made even sweeter this year. I've just found out that Marisa's future husband, JOHN MAYER, will be performing at the White River Ampitheatre....could there be a better birthday gift??
I've decided I'm skipping my statistics class tonight...it couldn't possibly be a worse class.

Yesterday was Easter, and I enjoyed the dad and Dad and Cindy's house. Dad and I ended up cooking the whole meal, but it was good and everyone commented on how tasty it was.
It was 82 degrees yesteday....I couldn't friggin believe it! It is NEVER that nice here this early in the year. I was able to get out and soak up a little bit of sun....it was fabulous.
Purchased orange nail polish last night and am sporting it today...according to Cosmo, its THE polish to wear this season...

According to www.weather.com it is suppose to be 70 degrees tomorrow...I can hardly contain my excitement. I am hoping to be able to hang out at my favortie park in Seattle, Volunteer Park, and soak up the sun.
Its Good Friday, and if you're Catholic, you know what that means. I should be going to church, but I'm not...guess I'm going to hell.

TGIF. It's absolutely beautiful today...no clouds, light wind, warm and sunny. Of course, I'm stuck inside working, but I was able to get out over my lunch hour to haul my old couch out of my apartment....fun times.
Much to my chigrin, last night I found out my garbage disposal is not functioning....lets see how long it takes for my lanlord do get up there and tinker around.

Its absolutely beautiful today, and from what I hear its suppose to be 70 degrees this weekend...with actual sun, a novelty for the Pacific Northwest.
So I finished my statistics final last night, so cross your fingers it should hopefully get me a B...or it had better at least, otherwise I'm going to be royally pissed!
My co-worker, who I love, brough curry chicken AGAIN...which I hate the smell of, to eat at her desk....seriously...gross!
